Why I Am An Artist

Why am I an artist? Because for me, there is no other way to live. You'll always find me singing, dancing, rehearsing, practicing lines, writing, playing guitar or doing improv. I need the arts to keep me sane. Nothing in the world is angry or hurtful or painful in my poetry or stories or songs unless I want it to be. It's like the ultimate control. There's a certain thrill associated with performing, at least to me. Making the audience laugh, gasp, or cry is what I live for. I just like to know I'm not alone.
I'm an artist, are you?

Rich...like Lil Wayne

A rich blog is a blog that is entertaining and informative. It provides readers with links and pictures related to the blog and should be visually appealing. Also, good spelling and grammar should be used, along with varying sentence structure.
Try to ask questions to get readers involved in whatever topic you're discussing.
The whole point is to get your ideas out and to meet others with varying opinions. A blog should be rich so that it covers all of the aforementioned tasks.

Globaloria: Then and Now

Ever since I started the class, I've thought it was amazing. I love being able to design something from simple text commands that create a real, usable learning tool. I never would have imagined the work required to produce a game. Globaloria is by far my favorite class because I like having the ultimate say in what I create. The self-direction is really good for me, since I'm pretty well motivated. One of the things I don't like is how I feel pressed for time in class - I hate the learning log since I don't think it helps me at all and it just seems to take up way too much time. I also don't like how we use Actioncript 2.0, when Actionscript 3.0 seems a bit more advanced. I think so far this year I've learned time management more than anything. I also am loving how lately we aren't interrupted by ANYTHING. It's straight designing and coding every day which is awesome, since I didn't like the video tutorials. I will be VERY upset if this class is cut next year.

SOPA & PIPA

SOPA and PIPA are two bills in Congress aiming to stop piracy online. SOPA stands for "Stop Online Piracy Act" and PIPA stands for " Preventing Real Online Threats to Economic Creativity and Theft of Intellectual Property Act " I don't agree with what they are trying to do. In a way, I understand people want their property protected, but there are all these record and movie companies only concerned with themselves. They could not care less about the artists or actors they represent. So many websites will be shut down, by just linking to a site with pirated material. It's scary to think that by downloading or uploading a song illegally, I could go to jail or be fined $150,000, when the problem could be fixed by making me pay the $1 it's worth. That's how I'd change the bill - make it so people must pay for the amount the song, movie, etc would have cost had they bought it. No matter what, piracy will never end completely.

Feliz Navidad!

I love Christmas- it's my favorite holiday! I got a lot of presents - a Sony Bloggie video camera, an iPod dock, money, books, makeup, Fable, and the Sims 3. I went to the mall with Austin and Susanna and a million other people.

My Christmas is basically a three day affair. Christmas Eve I get to open one present early. Then on Christmas day I open the rest of my presents and go to my Nanny's house (my greatgandma), and my PawPaw's house (my grandpa.) The next day I go back to PawPaw's house to open more presents.

Mostly, I liked being able to sleep in as late as I wanted and getting the snow day off, though I would've rather it been a delay. I wish more of my family would've been able to come in.
